Generosity in Action

How Your Giving Supports the Mission of Our Church

At our church we see generosity as a natural response to the generous gift of Jesus Christ to us. Everything we do as a church is funded by those who are part of our community and who are passionate about helping people of all ages know and follow Jesus. Here’s how the money we receive is used:

• Discipleship & Missional Living - Our pastor is fully supported by our gifts, enabling him to focus on preaching, teaching, pastoring, and leadership. Our youth and children’s ministries, as well as all resources to help believers grow in faith, are funded by the church.
   
• Partnership - A significant portion of our giving goes beyond our church. Through mission giving, we partner with individuals and organisations both in the UK and overseas, helping spread the message of Jesus.
   
• Reaching Out - We support a variety of outreach activities, such as our Toddler Club, evangelistic initiatives, and special events, all aimed at sharing Jesus with others.
   
• Premises - We maintain a large, well-used building and housing for our pastor. These facilities require ongoing maintenance and occasional upgrades to ensure the work of the Lord is not hindered by poor conditions.
   
• Administration - For our church to be effective and efficient in ministry, we invest in communication, pastoral resources, office services, technical equipment, and training.

The Bible teaches that followers of Jesus should give financially to support God’s work through the local church. In 2 Corinthians, Paul encourages us to follow the example of the Macedonian Christians, who gave generously, even in difficult times.

They gave:

• Liberally and joyfully (2 Corinthians 8:2)
   
• Generously and freely (8:3)
   
• In proportion to their ability (8:12)

As a result of their giving, they experienced:

• Reaping in proportion to what they sowed (9:6)
   
• God’s rich blessing on their cheerful generosity (9:7)
   
• Many others being blessed through their giving (9:12)

  You can give cash before, during or after our Sunday meetings using the offering bag in the foyer.
