As we remain in God's love Jesus commands us to "Love each other as I have loved you". You are my friends if you do what I command. The privilege we have as He calls us friends, not servants.

In John 6:39 Jesus says "I shall lose none of all that he (God the Father) has given me, but raise them up at the last day. The assurance that enables us to take comfort in God's costly, precious and specific grace that gives comfort even in times of adversity.

The confidence and joy that we have through the doctrine of election. Ephesians 1:4 says "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight." We are chosen to proclaim the excellence of God and to be satisfied in God through Jesus.

The amazing grace God gives is only fully appreciated when we see the enormity of our sin, It gives joy, peace, self confidence, humility, love for others and for God.

Two ways to help our church show God's love. 1. Prioritise welcome to strangers over our own comfort. 2. Resolve the inevitable conflicts rather than avoiding them.

The writer expresses his yearning to dwell in the presence of God. Do we long for God's presence? He is our strength for the journey, do we see him and his presence as our goal?

The righteous person delights in and meditates on God's law, leading to a fruitful life. , They grow and flourish like a tree planted by water.
