God does not promise to keep us from problems but in the storms of life he is there with us. He is a safe shelter and has ultimate power .

Sing all the earth and bless His name. Tell of His salvation and glory among all nations.

A song of lament. The writer feels cut off from God, sad, and chased by enemies. He uses the famous image of a deer thirsting for water to show a deep, inner hunger for God’s presence in the midst of difficulty..

David begins with a plea for protection and shifts to a joyful declaration that God is the ultimate treasure, providing security in life, peace in death, and a prophetic look toward the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

A psalm of David. He moves from confusion and despair over unchecked evil to a renewed confidence in God's ultimate justice and eternal kingship.

Preached just after a fire drill Similarly the return of Jesus will be unexpected. Jesus says "therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

Jesus saves a wedding from the shame of insufficient wine. Obedience to "do whatever he tells you" leads to the miracle proving he is the Son of God to disciples and those serving the guests. There is sound interference part way into the sermon but it does not detract from the message.
