Jesus, the almighty God became a lowly servant for us. He promises us a sure and certain hope. Keep this foremost in our minds and thinking.

Believers are transformed from glory to glory: in a progressive, lifelong change. Gazing more into Christ we better reflect His glory.

Christ is enough even when we question why we have difficulties. One day in heaven the problems will be a distant memory.

As a father holds a child's hand as they walk on a dangerous pavement, so God promises to hold us safely throughout our life, whatever happens. Like a father's grip is stronger than the child's, so we can be re-assured by his promise to us.

Whilst John was imprisoned he had to check that he had been right. Jesus re-assures him by referring to the prophecies he fulfilled though his style was often different to John's. We must make the same decision, is Jesus our Messiah and saviour?

Abundant life is not primarily about material wealth but a deeper, more meaningful existence filled with purpose, peace, and joy that comes from a relationship with God. It gives both eternal life and a rich spiritual life on earth, even amidst struggles.

Jesus says "All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away." Jesus emphasises that those the Father has given him will come to him and that he will never reject them.

As we remain in God's love Jesus commands us to "Love each other as I have loved you." You are my friends if you do what I command. The privilege we have as He calls us friends, not servants.

In John 6:39 Jesus says "I shall lose none of all that he (God the Father) has given me, but raise them up at the last day." The assurance that enables us to take comfort in God's costly, precious and specific grace that gives comfort even in times of adversity.

The confidence and joy that we have through the doctrine of election. Ephesians 1:4 says "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight." We are chosen to proclaim the excellence of God and to be satisfied in God through Jesus.
