The writer expresses his yearning to dwell in the presence of God. Do we long for God's presence? He is our strength for the journey, do we see him and his presence as our goal?

After St. Paul has listed some of his trials he declares the unfailing love of God for us. He asks: Who can be against us? Who will bring any charge against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Let us follow the motto of Spurgeon;'s College: "we hold the Cross of Christ because that Cross holds us fast."

Realise how much we are blessed by God. He offers complete forgiveness, a compassionate heart, and constant love.

Based on Romans chapter 8 verse 28 onwards plus the Old Testament blessing found in Numbers chapter 6 verses 24 to 26. The blessing given by Aaron as the Israelites prepared to pass through the wilderness. As we enter the New Year of 2024 may we similarly know the Lord's blessing and peace.
