Concluding the summer series with Psalm 27 where in the first 6 verses David shows his confidence in the Lord during times of trouble, then from verse 7 he pours out his heart and troubles to the Lord. Yet from his confidence in the Lord's presence with him it is a triumphant song of confidence.
Where, why and with what should we praise the Lord.
To see others as God sees them. Psalm 87 starts re-assuringly, verse 4 adds the Hebrews' enemies to the list that God includes amongst his people. Rahab is a Hebrew name for Egypt where the Jews had been slaves, Babylon took captives such as Daniel from Jerusalem. So it teaches how we should look at all people as God sees them.
The Good Shepherd. Jesus must be our Lord before he can become our shepherd. We need an ear to listen and feet to follow him. By his leading he gives us: Peace, Protection and Provision.
The reading starts with John Chapter 10 before moving on to Psalm 23. Technical difficulties during the service means that recording quality is variable.
