Vacancy for Full-time Minister

We are a well-established and warm hearted church in a growing commuter/market town in south east Hertfordshire, just outside the M25. Our statement of purpose is:-​

​​By God’s grace and power, we aim to be a worshipping, serving people, committed to following and becoming like Jesus, and helping others do the same.

We are a well-established, friendly and caring evangelical church. Over this past year we have remained and grown together through Zoom services and personal contacts. Looking ahead we would like to have a better balanced age profile to include more families and younger people. Disappointingly, we have seen little growth in recent years but long to see more lives transformed by the Gospel and and be open to the Spirit's leading to be more effective in sharing the love of Jesus and engaging with our local communities. We have a long history of involvement with our mission partners overseas.

We would welcome someone who:-

• is passionate in their love for God and His word
• communicates effectively to inspire and challenge our daily discipleship
  
• helps us to recognise why we are not growing and how to reach families and younger people
  
• recognises the power of prayer and leads us to be prayerfully expectant
  
• helps us encounter God more deeply and become more aware of the Holy Spirit's leading
  
• is approachable and able to encourage each member in developing their gifts
  
• encourages us to be more effectively engaged with our local communities 
  
• works well in a team to provide strategic church leadership ​
