During the last three years at Hoddesdon Baptist Church we have been blessed by the ministry of Elaine who has been our minister-in-training from Spurgeon’s College.  She has now been ordained and has moved on to full time ministry.

We are a well-established and welcoming church looking to develop our mission and ministry in Hoddesdon, a growing commuter/market town in south east Hertfordshire, just outside the M25.

Over the last few years our church family has been seeking to understand more clearly how we believe God’s mission should be expressed through us in order to help people follow Jesus. We believe we are called to be:-

  • a community of intentional, whole-life, disciple making disciples
  • a growing presence in our local area
  • growing numerically and comprised of all ages
  • led by an effective paid and unpaid leadership group.

We have an established leadership team and are working at giving each member a specific area of responsibility. We are looking for someone who shares our vision to inspire and work with us.

We would welcome someone with proven leadership skills who can encourage others and help the church realise more fully God’s calling to reveal his love to each other and to our neighbouring community.

We recognise that people come with different gifts so want to be flexible in agreeing a job description according to the skills and qualities of the person God wants for the next stage of our church’s journey.

If you are interested in applying please e-mail your CV to search.team@hoddesdonbaptist.org.uk.
