Sunday Services

Our services are open to all and you can come just as you are. Of course coming once doesn't mean you have to come every week! There are no complicated books to follow and you will not have to take part in anything you are uncomfortable with.

We understand that some people just want to slip in and out unnoticed, while others may like to join us for coffee following the service.

We meet at 10:00am every Sunday morning. About 80 people of all ages meet at the Baptist Church on Burford Street, the service lasts about 90 minutes. We also have a crèche and young peoples groups.

On the 1st Sunday of the Month the morning service is followed by Sunday Lunch - all welcome.

Communion

Communion (the Lord's Supper or Eucharist), is the name given to the sharing of bread and wine in obedience to Jesus' command to remember Him in this way.  All those who love the Lord Jesus and are seeking to follow Him are invited to part take, others are welcome to attend this part of the service and observe.  Those under 16 do not ussually receive communion however this may be arranged by prior agreement.

Sunday Evenings:

We have a variety of Sunday evening meetings which typically depend on which Sunday of the month it is as follows:

1st Sunday of the Month - No evening meeting (we have Lunch together instead).

2nd Sunday of the Month - Evening Communion at 6.30pm attended by between 20 and 30 people.  These offer a quieter and more reflective style.

3rd Sunday of the Month -we often have a missionary speaker at 6.30pm (see the This week at HBC for details)

4th Sunday - Wholeness and Healing at 6:30pm Biblical teaching on healing followed by worship and opportunity for prayer.

5th Sunday of the month - No evening meeting.

Prayer ministry is available after every service. We do take up an offering in our services but please do not be embarrassed to simply pass the bag on to the next person.
