Chris Johnson was inducted as Pastor of Hoddesdon Baptist Church in November 2009.
Since moving to Hoddesdon Lynne has had an active role in Hoddesdon Cafechurch and Chris has become the honoury chaplain of the local Air Cadets.
Chris and Lynne moved to Hoddesdon in response to God’s call to serve in the Baptist Church. For 20 years they lived in the Leicestershire village of Barrow upon Soar. Initially, they worked for Fisons Pharmaceuticals in Loughborough; Chris as an Analytical Chemist and Lynne in computing.
Chris became pastor of Barrow Baptist Church in 2000 when he started an in-pastorate training course at Regent’s Park College in Oxford. Lynne led the worship team and was Regional coordinator for the Music and Worship Foundation.
Lynne was born and brought up in Essex. She became a Christian at Girls Brigade Camp in 1974. Chris was born in Lancashire but brought up in South Wales. He became a Christian whilst at university in Surrey studying Chemistry. This is also where he met Lynne who was studying Mathematics. They were married at Billericay Baptist church in 1985.

Least Favourite things: Squid, seafood, onions, football, TV soaps, bad chairs, opera, pink.
